I created this toy and book storage as part of the girl’s play corner. When I created this corner for the girls, I knew I wanted this IKEA shelf to help organize their toys. I am low-key obsessed with IKEA and its products. One reason is, I am cheap. So, the great quality and affordable price IKEA produces always amazes me.
IKEA Shelf
The open cube display gives you a ton of options for personalizing this bookshelf to fit whatever your theme may be. I wanted to keep it simple, hence why I went with the woven baskets for more of a neutral appearance.
The open shelf concept is great for your little one’s learning. Children like the visualize their toys. Keeping the display simple allows for an easy learning opportunity for your child to remember where the toy belongs.
Baskets
These baskets are from Target. The basket is deep and provides a lot of storage space. Great for keeping their items that have a lot of pieces (i.e. blocks) stored in one place.
Depending on the size of your space. You can even buy two shelves to provide more toy storage. If you’re good at DIY projects. Adding legs to the bottom could make this look more expensive and custom-made even.
That’s it! Short and sweet little IKEA storage units that I am been loving.
