I’m always searching for healthier snack options for the kids.. and well, also Alex and myself! So, I thought of taking a common treat that is often made especially around the holidays. Chocolate pretzel bites! I replaced the typical milk Hershey kisses with dark chocolate and added some almonds. Read below this simple healthy-ish snack you can make in 5 minutes!
INGREDIENTS:
- Pretzels
- Dark chocolate (of choice)
- Almonds (I used crushed almonds you can find in the baking aisle).
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 200°.
Cover two baking sheets with parchment paper. Distribute pretzels onto parchment paper. Add dark chocolate on top of the pretzel. Bake in the oven for 3 minutes. Or until chocolate becomes soft. Remove from the oven and immediately add crushed almonds and the top layer of pretzels. Let cool for a few minutes and then place/store chocolate pretzel bites in the fridge.
Enjoy! These were super easy to make with my toddler helping and the perfect snack to replace that sweet tooth craving!
