As seen in Ezekiel’s Nursery. This dark olive green dresser flip was the PERFECT touch to his modern style-themed nursery. I think my favorite part was the small brass dresser knob that complete the whole look. This project cost only $49.99!
Now grant it, this dresser was given to us. So, that cost is just in supplies. I was going to throw this dresser out. Truthfully, it’s not the most sturdy of dressers. But, on a budget. I figured, why not flip this dresser to create a look I desire vs spending probably too much on buying a new dresser that’s only going to hold 12-month size clothing!
Let’s start with the most important part. The color!
I used Country Chic chalk-style paint. Color: Hollow Hill. The reason I went with this type of paint was that I wanted something simple and quick. This paint requires no prep work. It has a built-in primer and top coat. So literally, all you do is PAINT!
I applied two coats of paint to achieve this look. After the first coat of paint. It was mildly streaky. So, it required a second coat of paint.
The small brass (brushed gold) round dresser knobs are from Amazon.
they were very easy to install. I love the brass/brushed gold look. I am very picky when it comes to my gold colors. I steer away from shiny or bright gold colors. These perfected the overall appearance of the dresser.
This entire process of this dresser flip was very easy, quick, and super achievable for anyone who wants to elevate a dresser or piece of furniture in their home.
What I love most is putting in a little bit of my time, saving money by utilizing a piece of furniture I already have to customize the desired appearance of my home, and creating a space I love and am proud of is so much better than spending more money than I would like to for a dresser that looks the same as this.
